Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results – Albert Einstein
I couldn’t have said it better myself. The world is changing rapidly and the speed in which this happens is more likely to increase rather than decrease. And still we hold on to the old, to what we know, to what we are used to, have been raised with or have been educated in.
For this reason, I no longer believe in control, but in agility. Successful organizations are alert, agile and adaptive to the market. Being flexible and staying on top of the game is a core competence of modern entrepreneurship.
I also let go of the dogma that change is difficult, burdensome and that behavioral change takes a long time. If one adopts a different mindset, change is fun, helpful and energizing. As far as I’m concerned, change always goes paired with achieving meaningful results. You can go a long way in a short amount of time, but often this requires someone from outside the organization; someone that helps you to get the ball rolling and that, together with the team, goes from words to action. This is my passion.
